Koda Rising — Developer Documentation
Koda Rising is an African AI platform for building software — priced in local currency, topped up on local rails (mobile money, USSD, bank transfer, card), with spend metered and visible per run. This is the front door for building on it programmatically. The product site is at kodarising.com.
Ways to use it
Section titled “Ways to use it”| Surface | For | Where |
|---|---|---|
| REST API | Any language, any integration | Interactive /docs · spec /openapi.json · API reference |

Node/TS apps, CI, scripts | SDK guide |
CLI (koda) |
Terminal, CI pipelines | CLI reference |
| VS Code extension | In-editor agent, repo indexing | Marketplace: Koda Rising |
Everything above talks to one gateway. Money, auth, and quotas are enforced there — clients are thin, so a bug in a client can’t spend money the gateway didn’t authorise.
What you can drive from here
Section titled “What you can drive from here”The platform’s five product surfaces sit on the same API, the same account and the same prepaid wallet:
- Koda Assist — the coding agent: plan, retrieve, edit, run, verify in an isolated sandbox.
- Koda Chat — conversations with projects, attachments, images, tools.
- Koda Build — describe a business app, have it written for you, and publish it with payments built in.
- Koda Design — generate, refine and publish visual assets.
- Koda Review — review focused on African payment-stack correctness.
Get started
Section titled “Get started”- Quickstart — get a key, fund the wallet, run your first agent task in minutes.
- Concepts — open-default routing, the prepaid wallet, subscriptions, retrieval, auth.
- API reference — every route, grouped by domain.
Reading this with an AI
Section titled “Reading this with an AI”These docs publish llms.txt — the index, in the
llmstxt.org format — and
llms-full.txt, which is every page above concatenated into one plain-text
document. Point a model or an agent at either instead of having it crawl the site. Both are generated from these
pages at build time, so they are never out of date, and the machine-readable API contract is at
/openapi.json.
